Board Members

Ohio District MapThe Ohio Soybean Association (OSA) is governed by a volunteer farmer board dedicated to education and promotion, as well as to uniting producer interest through support of legislative activities beneficial to the Ohio soybean industry.

Below is a list of OSA board members and the districts they represent can be located on the map.


Allen Armstrong, President, District 11

Clark County
Allen Armstrong of Clark County is President of the Ohio Soybean Association (OSA) Board of Trustees. He previously served as OSA Secretary and Treasurer. In addition, he previously served on the Ohio Soybean Council Board of Trustees as Chairman, Vice Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary. Allen raises soybeans and corn on his 5,500-acre farm. Allen is also a member of the Ohio Corn and Wheat Growers Association and Ohio Farm Bureau. He is involved in his community as a township trustee and a member of the Clark County 4-H Committee.

Todd Hesterman, Chairman, District 1

Henry County
Todd Hesterman of Henry County farms nearly 1,000 acres of soybeans, corn and wheat, and is Chairman of the Ohio Soybean Association (OSA) Board of Trustees. Todd previously served as OSA Treasurer. He earned a B.S. from The Ohio State University in Agronomy and holds a Certified Crop Advisor designation. In addition, Todd is the past Chair and current member of the Henry County Soil & Water Board of Supervisors, Member of the Brookside Society of ProfessionalConsultants,and a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.

Scott Metzger, First Vice President, District 15

Ross County
Scott Metzger of Ross County is First Vice President of the Ohio Soybean Association Board of Trustees and also a member of the Ohio Soybean Council Board of Trustees. He farms more 3,100 acres of soybeans, corn and wheat. He received a B.S. in Agronomy and Agricultural Business at The Ohio State University. Scott is the treasurer of the Pickaway County Farm Bureau and a member of the Ohio Corn and Wheat Growers Association. He has also participated in many leadership programs including Ohio Farm Bureau’s AgriPower and American Soybean Association’s Dupont Young Leader Program.

Ryan Rhoades, Vice President, District 9

Marion County
Ryan Rhoades of Marion County farms nearly 3,000 acres of soybeans and corn in Delaware County. Ryan is a member of the Ohio Soybean Association Board of Trustees and serves as Vice President. In addition to row crops, they run a 2500 head farrow to finish operation. Ryan is a member of the Ohio Farm Bureau and attends Fite Memorial Baptist Church. He holds a B.S. in Agriculture and Spanish from Wilmington College. Ryan is also a past Beck’s Young Farm Leader, a program that recognizes young Ohio soybean farmers for their leadership and dedication to the soybean industry.

Kerrick Wilson, Treasurer, District 10

Jennifer Wilson, Secretarty, District 4

Van Wert County
Jennifer Wilson of Van Wert County farms soybeans and corn, and serves as a member of the Ohio Soybean Association Board of Trustees. She is a member of the Ohio Farm Bureau, Ohio Farm Bureau Young Agriculture Professionals Committee, active in both Hancock and Van Wert County Farm Bureau’s and is an Arlington FFA Alumni group member. In addition, Jennifer is a Northwest Ohio Gladiolus Society member and Auxiliary Director for the Van Wert County Fair board. She graduated from The Ohio State University with a B.S. in Agriculture Education as well as an MBA.

Jerry Bambauer, ASA represenative

Auglaize County
Jerry Bambauer farms nearly 900 acres on his farm in Auglaize County. Jerry serves as a member of the Ohio Soybean Association (OSA) Board of Trustees as well as the Ohio Soybean Council Board of Trustees. He previously served as OSA President, Chairman, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary. In addition, he served on the American Soybean Association Board of Directors. Jerry holds a B.S. in Animal Science and Agronomy from The Ohio State University. Jerry is also a member of the Ohio Farm Bureau and the Ohio Corn and Wheat Growers Association. He is active in his community as a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ.

Trish Cunningham, Industry Affilate

Bret Davis, At-Large ASA

Delaware County
Bret Davis of Delaware County runs Davis Farm. He serves on both the Ohio Soybean Council (OSC) and Ohio Soybean Association (OSA) Board of Trustees and was elected to the American Soybean Association Governing Committee. Bret has also served as OSA President, Chairman, Vice President Producer and Treasurer. He grows 3,400 acres of soybeans and corn. Bret holds a designation as a Certified Crop Advisor and is a past president of both the FSA Board and the Delaware County Farm Bureau. He was a member of the FFA and earned his American FFA Degree.

Adam Graham, District 8

Logan County
Adam Graham of Logan County served as President and Chairman of the Ohio Soybean Association (OSA) Board of Trustees. He previously served as OSA First Vice President and Secretary. He raises soybeans and corn on his 1,800-acre farm. Adam holds a B.S. in Agriculture from Wilmington College.

Caitlyn Heimerl, Industry Affilliate, Ex-Officio

Industry Affiliate, Ex-Officio
Caitlyn Heimerl of Delaware County serves on the Ohio Soybean Association Board of Trustees. She farms 900 acres of soybeans, 1,300 acres of corn and 150 acres of wheat. She serves on the Ohio Pork Producers Board, Hartford Fair Board and Congressman Pat Tiberi’s advisory Board. Caitlyn holds a B.S. from Wilmington College.

Pat Knouff, District 7

Shelby County
Patrick Knouff of Shelby County serves on the Ohio Soybean Association (OSA) Board of Trustees. He previously served as OSC Chairman, Vice Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary. Patrick manages a 700-acre farm of soybeans and corn, as well as a herd of 75 heifers. Patrick is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a B.S. in Agriculture and remains an active member of The Ohio State University Alumni Association. In addition, he serves as a volunteer coach at the YMCA and is a member of Ohio Farm Bureau and Grace Lutheran Church. Patrick previously served as Chairman of the national Soy Transportation Coalition.

Jeff Magyar, District 3

Jeff Magyar of Ashtabula County is a member of the Ohio Soybean Council and Ohio Soybean Association Board of Trustees. Jeff currently serves on the national Soy Transportation Coalition Board of Directors, Republican Party Executive Committee and the Western Reserve Co-op Board. He is also an Ohio Farm Bureau County Trustee, Pymatuning Valley FFA Alumni member and Wayne Township Trustee. In addition, Jeff is a member of St. Mary Church where he serves on the Finance Committee.

Jeff McKanna, District 3

Cindy Parker, At Large

Miami County
Cindy Parker of Miami County serves on the Ohio Soybean Association Board of Trustees. She is involved with the Ohio Farm Bureau (OFB) as past County Trustee and President and served on the Young Farmer Committee. She also completed the OFB AgriPower program and American Soybean Association DuPont Young Leader program. Cindy received a B.S. in Agriculture Business from Clark State Community College.

Derek Reusser, District 12

Holmes County
Derek Reusser of Holmes County serves on the Ohio Soybean Association Board of Trustees. Derek farms 900 acres of soybeans and corn in Lakeville, Ohio. Derek is a past Ohio Farm Bureau Young Ag Professional participant, FFA Alumni and an active 4-H advisor. He is a worship band member of the Nashville Church of Christ. Derek received a degree in Sales Management from the University of Akron.

Jeff Roehm, District 13

Highland County
Jeff Roehm of Highland County runs Roehm Farms, and serves as a member of the Ohio Soybean Association (OSA) Board of Trustees. He previously served as OSA Vice President and Treasurer. He grows more than 600 acres of soybeans, corn and wheat. After high school, Jeff completed the Diesel Technology program at Northwestern College in Lima, Ohio. He is also active as a Highland County Farm Bureau Board Member and is a past participant in American Soybean Association’s Dupont Young Leader Program.

Luke Ryan, DuPont Young Leader

Luke Ryan of Lucas County serves on the Ohio Soybean Association Board of Trustees. Luke farms 250 acres. He received his Associates degree in Business Marketing and his Bachelor's degree in Career and Technical Education. He is an Agricultural Educator and is involved with FFA programs at the state level as well as the local level. He is also a 4-H advisor and Director of the Lucas County Fair.

Andy Stickel, Secretary, District 2,

Wood County
Andy Stickel of Wood County serves as Secretary of the Ohio Soybean Association Board of Trustees. He earned a B.S. and M.A. from Kansas State University and returned to Stickel Farms, Inc. to work with his family farming more than 1,000 acres of soybeans, corn, wheat, alfalfa and tomatoes. In addition, they raise beef cattle, operating a cow/calf herd and a feedlot. Andy is also a member of the Ohio Farm Bureau and serves on the board for both the Wood County Beef Producers and Great Lakes Family Farms Co-Op. Andy was also named Beck’s Young Farm Leader, a program that recognizes young Ohio soybean farmers for their leadership and dedication to the soybean industry.
