Ohio Soybean Association Elects Officers for 2014-2015

The Ohio Soybean Association (OSA) Board of Trustees elected officers for 2014-2015 during the September board meeting. These executive committee positions include the offices of president, first vice president, vice president, treasurer and secretary. The immediate-past president continues to serve on the executive committee as chairman of the board. Additionally, the board elected one of three American Soybean Association (ASA) representatives and confirmed committee chairs.

Individuals in these positions are responsible for the implementation of board policies and procedures, as well as carrying out the roles for their respective offices.

Tommie Price of Putnam County was elected to his first term as president. Tommie served last year as first vice president and has also held the positions of vice president, treasurer and secretary. He operates T&D Farms in Ft. Jennings where he grows soybeans and corn. Tommie is a member and past officer of the Putnam County Farm Bureau and Putnam Electric Cooperative, and was previously a Putnam County Commissioner.

Elected first vice president was Adam Graham of Logan County. This is Adam’s second term on the executive committee after previously serving as secretary. He has taken on multiple leadership roles on the board and committees. He holds a degree in Agriculture from Wilmington College and currently grows soybeans and corn on his farm in North Lewisburg and Marysville.

The board elected Jeff Roehm to the executive committee as vice president after holding the offices of treasurer and secretary. Jeff is a past ASA/DuPont Young Leader and Highland County Farm Bureau board member. He holds a degree in Diesel Technology from Northwestern College and currently grows soybeans, corn and wheat on his farm in Hillsboro.

Todd Hesterman of Henry County was elected to his first term on the executive committee as treasurer. Todd holds a degree in Agronomy from The Ohio State University and is a Certified Crop Advisor and board member of the Henry County Soil and Water Conservation District. Todd grows soybeans, corn and wheat on his farm in Napoleon.

Also elected to his first term on the OSA executive committee as secretary was Allen Armstrong. Allen is a member of the Ohio Corn and Wheat Growers Association, Ohio Farm Bureau Federation and a former board member of the Ohio Soybean Council. He is also active in the Ohio 4-H program. Allen grows soybeans and corn on his farm near South Charleston.

As the immediate-past president, Jerry Bambauer assumed the position of chairman of OSA. In addition to two terms as president, Jerry has held numerous other leadership positions. He also continues to serve as an ASA board representative. He grows soybeans, corn and wheat on this farm in New Bremen and holds a degree in Animal Science and Agronomy from OSU.

Jeff Sollars of Fayette County was re-elected to a third term as an ASA board representative. In this position, Jeff represents Ohio at the national level as a full board member of ASA. Jeff is a member of the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation, Ohio Corn and Wheat Growers Association and the Fayette County Agronomy Committee. He grows soybeans, corn and wheat on his farm in Washington Court House.

  • Executive Committee Chair – Adam Graham (Logan County)
  • Policy Committee Chair – Amy Sigg Davis (Warren County)
  • Membership Committee Chair – Jeff Sollars (Fayette County)
  • Communications Committee Chair – Todd Hesterman (Henry County)
