Columbus, Ohio Succession Planning Workshop Rescheduled

October 15, 2014 Ohio Soybean Association

The American Soybean Association (ASA) Succession Planning Workshop in Columbus, Ohio is rescheduled for Jan. 15, 2015 (originally scheduled for August 2014).

“The information provided in these workshops is very important for soybean producers to hear and understand so they can make sure to protect their family farm and insure it remains a profitable business.” said Bob Worth, ASA Membership and Corporate Relations Committee Chairman. “We are pleased we could find a time to accommodate more farmers’ schedules.”

The workshops, titled “Five Keys to Effective Succession Planning,” will be at the Renaissance Columbus Downtown. Through the five keys, you’ll learn about the planning process, good communication strategies, and how to overcome obstacles. Utilizing tips from this session will help ensure the farm remains in the family, provides financial security, and offers career opportunities for generations to come.

Those that signed up for the August program will be automatically registered for the Jan. 15 workshop. The workshop is open to all soybean producers and has a registration fee for ASA members of $50 for the first person in a family and $30 for each additional family member. For non ASA members, the registration fee for the first person in a family $90 and a $70 fee charged for each additional person. To register, visit www.soygrowers.org.

The Columbus, Ohio ASA Succession Planning Workshops is sponsored by Farm Credit, AGCO, Michigan Soybean Association and the Ohio Soybean Association.
