Current Calls to Action

State Budget Bill Ag Sales Tax Provision

The Ohio Senate added a provision to the state budget which incudes an elimination of the Ag Sales Tax exemption for drain tile and storage bins.

The Ohio Soybean Association is working to advocate for an amendment to restore the exemption.

The ag sales tax exemption is designed to prevent value-added products in our food system from being taxed multiple times  through the value chain. It’s an important tool for cost effective farm operations.

Call your state senator today and tell them to restore this important tool for your farm operation.

There is very limited time for this correction to be included before the senate concludes their work on the budget bill, so call today!
